Terms of Service
Kodarr runs commands on your infrastructure and edits files on your machine. These terms set out what we provide, what you are responsible for, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Section 1The agreement
These terms are between you and MortalMinds Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation. By installing or using Kodarr you accept them. If you are using Kodarr for an employer, you confirm you may accept them on that organisation's behalf.
Section 2Beta software
Kodarr is currently in beta and distributed to a limited group. It is incomplete, it changes without notice, and it will have defects. The current installer is not code-signed, which is why Windows warns about an unknown publisher.
Do not use the beta on infrastructure you cannot afford to have disrupted, and keep backups of anything you would mind losing.
Section 3Your licence to use Kodarr
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Kodarr for its intended purpose. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute it, remove its notices, or use it to build a competing product.
This licence covers Kodarr's own code and branding. Open-source components included in Kodarr remain under their own licences, which continue to apply and which nothing here reduces.
Section 4Accounts
You need an account, and the email you give must be one you control. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us if you believe it has been compromised.
Section 5Acceptable use
You may not use Kodarr to:
- access infrastructure you are not authorised to access;
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- attack, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any system, including ours;
- circumvent rate limits, quotas or the free-tier controls, or automate the product to consume disproportionate capacity;
- send prompts designed to extract other users' data, or to abuse the model providers behind our proxy;
- redistribute the software, or run it as a service for third parties.
We may suspend or terminate an account that does any of this.
Section 6Your infrastructure is yours
Kodarr connects to servers you configure, using credentials you supply, to run commands you or an AI agent initiate. You are responsible for what happens on those machines.
Kodarr asks for approval before anything that changes state, shows you a diff before writing a file, and refuses commands it cannot classify as safe. Those are safeguards, not guarantees. An approved command runs, and most commands cannot be undone.
Lending. Kodarr can lend an authenticated server session to other software on your machine. While a node is lent, anything running under your user account can reach it, and Kodarr cannot distinguish one program from another. You choose when to grant that and when to revoke it, and you are responsible for what reaches the node while it is active.
Section 7AI output
Kodarr sends your prompts to third-party models and shows you what comes back. Model output can be wrong, and a confident explanation of a system it cannot see is still a guess. Commands and configuration it proposes may be damaging.
Review what it suggests before approving it. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, complete or fit for any purpose, and you remain responsible for anything you approve.
Section 8The free tier and your own keys
Free models are routed through infrastructure we pay for, subject to rate limits, and available only while the underlying models remain free to us. A model can be withdrawn or start charging with no notice to us, and we may remove it from the free tier immediately when that happens.
If you supply your own OpenRouter key, those requests go directly from your machine to OpenRouter, you are billed by them, and your agreement is with them. We are not a party to it and cannot see those requests.
Free models train on what you send. Requests through our proxy declare a data policy that permits routing to providers which retain inputs and train on them, and that is the reason those models cost nothing. By using the free tier you accept this. Requests made with your own API key are governed by your own OpenRouter settings instead. The Privacy Policy sets out the detail.
Section 9Availability
We offer no uptime commitment. Our proxy, authentication and this website may be unavailable, and the beta has no service level. Kodarr's local features generally keep working when our services do not; the free tier does not.
Section 10Warranties
Kodarr is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will not damage systems it is pointed at.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Section 11Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MortalMinds Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, including where a command run through Kodarr damaged or destroyed a system.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability that mandatory consumer law in your country does not permit us to exclude.
Section 12Indemnity
You agree to indemnify MortalMinds Labs against claims arising from your use of Kodarr, your breach of these terms, or your access to infrastructure you were not authorised to access.
Section 13Termination
You may stop using Kodarr at any time and uninstall it. We may suspend or terminate access, particularly during the beta, and may end the beta entirely. Your local data stays on your machine and remains yours; see the Privacy Policy for account data.
Section 14Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Talk to us first. If you have a dispute, email hi@kodarr.com describing it. We will try to resolve it with you directly, and neither of us will begin formal proceedings until 30 days after that email. Most things end here, and it costs neither side anything to try.
If it is not resolved, the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, and both of us submit to them. We do not require arbitration. For a product at this stage it would add cost without adding protection, and mandatory arbitration is restricted or unenforceable against consumers in several of the places our users live.
If you are a consumer, this section does not remove your local rights. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country you live in, or of any right you have to bring proceedings in your local courts. In the EU and the UK in particular, a consumer generally keeps both whatever a contract says. This clause is written for business users, and as against them it is exclusive.
Section 15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use Kodarr after a change means accepting it. For material changes we will make a reasonable effort to tell you directly.
